35mm Photography: Reworking an image.

I posted this one earlier as the result of a first round of home film development, I uploaded in the moment of initial excitement but have since become unhappy with the original scan which blew out the highlights and made everything overly bright. I re-scanned the negative with the aim of getting as much highlight detail possible from the negative which was a tad over-exposed. In the end I got a much better scan with a ton of detail which was missing before. As this is a bland plant without distinct features besides it's shape, I wanted to wrangle out as much tone and detail across the photograph as possible. I'm trying out some black and white printing as well, so I thought this would prove a useful test.
