Project Development: Further Ideas

I'm conituing as planned with the performing objects idea. For the first run I just want to set up a couple test shots using still images and whatever stock footage I can find on the internet. Hopefully I'll be able to have a go on Wednesday or Tuesday providing the university has some projectors in stock (we'll see). These are the objects I'm interested in working with:

1. A Chair - A standard white, plastic chair should suffice. Anything too elaborate might absorb too much light render make this exercise somewhat pointless...

2. The underside of a table - Interesting because you'd have to get on your hands and knees to view the performance.

3. A Cup - Like the chair, a totally mundane object and very small scale. This could easily be achieved with a pocket projector too.

4. A Toilet - So first you'd have deal with the sight of a toilet being 'alive'. Then you'd have to deal with the uncofortable feeling of having the performance occur ON YOU when sitting down on the toilet. Which would also make it rather awkward for any potential audience...

More to come...
