Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans

Pretty old now, but I watched this recently. A film with A facinating set of circumstances when you think about it, a unnoficial remake/whatver to an uber-gritty, good but not so great Abbel Ferrer film, directed by one worlds finest living filmmakers (if not the finest!)

VERY STRANGE were my first thoughts, Nicholas Cage is utterly ridiculous but thats when Nick Cage is brilliant (yes, it happens) so I dont mind. I'm not really sure what happened to be honest, definaelty feels like your a passenger inside Terrence's head as it begins to explode rather someone sitting watching a film.

It's good though, if not as mememorable and brilliant as other Herzog films.

Well done :) Have you a bigger picture though?

Why? So you can do terrible things to my image?

:-)

No - this photo belongs to the ND people; they took it, we don't have the original. It was a very surreal 'cinderella'-like moment when the result was announced - Alan and I were both so knackered, it was all a bit 'out-of-body' when we were standing on the steps being clapped by 3,000 people...

No, just wanted to see the Stand you set up and won an award for :) Nothing sinister. Can't really make out much from that pic.

Watched Michael Haneke's 'Hidden' a few days back - loved it - again, a mediation on watching and on cinema itself - go see... also watched Straw Dogs again - still impressive.
