Transcription: Damien Hirst

Not everyone likes Damien Hirst and recently he decided to have a stab at doing some proper paintings and the results of which were completely and utterly panned by art critics the world over. I myself rather like Damien Hirst and I rather like these paintings as interesting visual experiences, particularly the floating skull and the rose and butterfly painting. I do think they lack the power, honesty and craftsmanship of Francis Bacon who he is clearly trying to emulate, in particular the paintings I have seen from the second exhibition which in all honesty look very weak in comparison to Bacon, I'm curious to see the Angus Fairhurst portraits which were apparently the best of the lot.
