What?!?!

Wha...how...how...could this be...???

Obviously no one caught on to my Transformers freak-out. Which reminds me that I should delete it before it does catch on...

Dear Tom,

It's been a while since I intruded on your musings with my own; today I met the 41 new first years... yes, really. Things are going to be much less quiet from now on. On friday of this week, there's going to be a bit of a do in the bar with the new lot, plus some Alumni; I'm going to get word out to as many of the 2nd/3rd years over the next couple of days; anyway, we'll be there; maybe I'll get you to put together a powerpoint regarding the finer aspects of Salo? :-)

I was sorry to read that your blog is worth fuck-all; personally, I think your blistering evisceration of turgid blockbusters is worth a great deal more - in entertainment alone; thanks too for posting those bizarre GI Joe information films; I believe the phrase you were struggling for is 'as gay as Christmas Eve' - the big guy saying 'hey, skateboarding girls needn't be rejected' is so clearly a leather queen from San Fran', I'm surprised middle America didn't rise up in their millions...

If you like Brueghel, then you must like Bosch, right? Way back when I was 'but a lad' on my foundation year, I created this huge lamp thing based on some of the odd flora in his painting 'the garden of earthly delights' - it was this nasty looking thing wrought from blacksmithed steel rods, fibre-glass and a cheap-as-chips bathroom light from B&Q... such heady days...

Indeed - why would some hack into your Love Film account; you'd have thought they would have sullied your name with awful porn - but Top Gear? Actually, I can't think of anything worse; give me awful porn over that Daily Mail pin-up, Clarkeson, any day.

Finally - see below; as a child of the seventies myself, these information films were really very disturbing indeed - enjoy!

Can't do Friday as I'm not back in Rochester till Sunday, don't get too sloshed though.

hmmm - I know - I'm not sure 'fun' is what I'll be having; I may do a Barack and just turn very grey and disappoint large numbers of people with inflated views of what it is possible to accomplish in one year... anyway, as for your briefing its an afternoon jobby starting at 2 - don't come earlier - there'll be no space, as I've got to brief first year in baseroom 'cos some sod gazumped my lecture theatre bookings - oh happy days... cynicmode too
