Salem's Lot

One of the best horror films ever, though it's fairly obscure. It's a two-part mini series directed by Tobe Hooper. So many memorable moments, James Mason, the dude sitting in the rocking chair. I wont post the scene with the kid tapping at the window since a youtube video just can't do it justice. Needless to say this film gave me sleepless nights for a long time, mostly because I slept in a room a big window without any curtains at the time when I first watched it. It's the only horror film that really struck a nerve, not even the Exorcist or The Shining had the same effect.

Fantastic book as well.
