Coloured Pics

A little messy perhaps? I was going with the idea that even though the place is ruined there is still something or someone hanging around doing devious stuff. I prefer the second one feels a bit more precise, probably due to the fact that this is first time Ive gone about colouring images in this way. so the first one is a little rough...

Evening Tom - just checking in to see what you've been up to (I'd write comments on the other's blogs - but, guess what? There's nothing to look at, excepting Zack, who appears to be having lots of fun making animations for Wednesday night - everybody else is probably playing World of Warcraft...). Anyway, very atmospheric images and some dynamic perspective - looking forward to you interpreting some text - the word turned flesh, so-to-speak; what, no more cute rodent images? :-)

Thanks, not sure what you think but I prefer the original sketches to the coloured ones, I wasn't really sure what I was doing to be honest, they feel a little mish-mashy to me. Luckily I have the Feng Zhu digital painting dvd just waiting to be watched.

I still need to find some suitable text though. Roadside Picnic was great but it barely goes into any detail when describing the landscape and stuff and The Cyberiad so far is completely off the wall.

mish-mashy - or painterly? It's all in the eye of the beholder; in truth, the aesthetic of these images is 'scorched' - as if burned out by some suitably apocalyptic experiment-gone-wrong... take a look at this website http://beinart.org/ - have a browse; some nicely disturbing work on show - and very organic; organicism is something I'd like to see you have a go at in coming weeks - I'd be interested to see which work you rate; perhaps you'll post the stand-out stuff?
